Following her win in the third season of "The X Factor" the singer-songwriter released her album "Spirit" that was among the most popular albums in UK history. One of her most well-known moments was the time she was Simon Cowell's once-loved lover. Lewis won the X Factor and signed a PS1 million recording deal with Syco. The first single she released, "A Moment Like This" was a top-charting hit in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The second track, "Bleeding Love," was even more popular. It was a top-ten hit in 34 countries, including the U.K, Japan, Germany and the United States. The 51st Grammy Awards saw Lewis receive three nominations in the year 2008. In 2008 she released her debut album of her own "Spirit". It was followed in 2009 with "Echo".
