Aisling Bea

Aisling is a popular Irish comedian, who's been performing for a long time. Born in Kildare, Ireland on 16th March 1984. She has appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly known as the stage name Aisling Bea (born March 16, 1984) is an Irish actress, writer and stand-up comedian. Following appearances in bits on a number of Irish and British television shows since 2009 Bea was able to begin her stand-up comic in the year 2011. As early as 2012 Bea began appearing on sitcoms or sketch comedy. In 2012, she began appearing in panel shows following her win of an award for the Edinburgh Comedy Awards. She's a member of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016 and she is an extremely popular contestant on the spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents are Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead, her older sister was born. In 2012, she was the second woman to ever be awarded the So You Believe You're Funny award. Bea Her maiden name, which is her birth name, was a tribute to her dad who died in the year 2000. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born on the 16th of March, 1984 in Kildare Town in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian is an equine doctor who killed himself when she was only three years old. Bea didn't learn how her father passed away until she reached the age of thirteen. Her stage name Bea is a tribute to her father. She published an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey with suicide. Bea and her older sister Sinead and her sister Sinead, were brought up by Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) who was a jockey and teacher at a secondary-school. They were both passionate about horses, race meetings and the racing industry. Bea was a guide for her family's involvement at the Irish National Stud in her beginning years. However, she knew that it wasn't what she wanted to pursue as a profession and preferred doing.
